Two identical objects move with speeds of 5.0 m s and 25.0 m s. What is the ratio of their kinetic energies?

    The formula for kinetic energy is KE = 0.5mv^2

    Where m is the mass

    And v is the velocity

    Since the two object are identical so their mass are equal

    KE1 / KE2 = 0.5m (v1) ^2 / 0.5m (v2) ^2

    KE1 / KE2 = (v1) ^2 / (v2) ^2

    KE1 / KE2 = (5) ^2 / (25) ^2

    KE1 / KE2 = 1/25

    KE1:KE2 = 1:25
