    His velocity is 38.46 m/s south

    Explanation:

    Velocity is a vector quantity that measures displacement over time

    George walks 750 meters north

    Then he turns around and walks 250 meters south

    The entire walk takes him 13 seconds

    His speed is 76.92 meters per second

    We need to find his velocity

    He walks north for 750 meters and then walks to south 250 meters, so

    his displacement is the difference between the final position and

    the initial position

    His displacement = 250 - 750 = - 500

    The negative sign means he moves in opposite direction

    The displacement is 500 to south

    The time of his trip = 13 seconds

    Velocity = displacement : time

    → Velocity = - 500 : 13 = - 38.46 m/s

    His velocity is 38.46 m/s south
