    C) Sound travels faster through the ground than through the air cuz' sound can travel thro' ground n air. person felt vibration which is sound thro solid before hearing it (sound thro air). so sound must travel faster thro gnd.

    Letter C because the farmer had felt the ground shake first than him listening to the sound
