How does the revolution of the moon affect its appearance?

    It is said from scientific data gathered that the moon revolves on its orbit around the Earth in just 27.322 days, while on the other hand, it rotates about its own axis in around 27 days. Due to these, it is said the moon has one face that always faces the Earth which is what we always see and the dark side that is relatively colder which we don't usually see at night.
