The table below shows the right ascensions of two stars at a location.

Star 1 - 4 right ascension (in Hour)

Star 2 - 3 right ascension (in Hour)

Which of these statements is correct about the stars?

1) star 1 will rise 1 hour before star 2

2) star 1 will rise three hours before star 2

3) star 1 will cross the meridian four hours before star 2

    Star 1 - 4 hours right ascension

    Star 2 - 3 hours right ascension

    Subtracting hours right ascension

    4 hours right ascension - 3 hours right ascension = 1 hours right ascension.

    Thus,

    1) star 1 will rise 1 hour before star 2
