Evaporative coolers are used to lower the temperature by spraying water droplets in the air. This water changes into water vapor, which cools the air. Why does air become cooler as the droplets evaporate?

    For water droplets to evaporate, there has to be an increase in the average kinetic energy of the molecules. Which causes the molecules with greater speed escape and turn into water vapor. The energy needed to evaporate the water droplets is taken from the air, which causes its temperature to decrease.
