    Mass of the rock

    100 - 80 = 20g (water mass)

    100 + 20 = 120g (total mass)

    156 - 120 = 36g (rock mass)

    Volume of the rock

    V of water after adding rock - v of water before adding the rock

    45 - 20 = 25 m^3 (volume of rock)

    Density of the rock

    Density = Mass/Volume

    Density = 36/25

    Density = 1.44 g/m^3
