First take note the kite is traveling at 40 km/hr, but we want to know how far she traveled in 15 minutes.

First divide 60 (total minutes in an hour) by 15

    60/15=4

    Now divide 40 by 4

    40/4=10

So she will travel 10 km in 15 minutes.
