The humpback whale migrates across areas of the Pacific Ocean, from Hawaii and California in the winter to Alaska in the summer. Why would humpback whales migrate north in the summer?

    The food of humpback whales thrive in cold water, they migrate north in the summer so they don't starve.

    Additional information; they migrate to warmer water to mate and breed

    The humpback whale would migrate farther north in the summer because they have so much fat that the temperature needs to be a lot cooler for them to survive thus they move to cooler waters
