    The magnitude of the ball's momentum was the same just before and just after the bounce and the ball's momentum was conserved during the bounce.

    Explanation:

    the momentum could be calculated by:

    P = MV

    where P is the momentum, M the mass and V the velocity.

    Taking into account that the velocity is a vector, the momentum is also a vector, so, when the ball bounce, it change the direction of the velocity and the direction of the momentum, it means that the momenutm before and after the bounce are not the same.

    However, the magnitude not change because it have the same magnitude of the velocity and the same mass.

    On the other hand, if there aren't acting external forces in the system, the momentum will conserved. It means that, in this case the momentum was conserved.
