A block of an unknown metal has a mass of 145 dg and a volume of 2.3 cm3. what is the density of the unknown in units of g/ml?

    = 6.304 g/mL

    Explanation;

    Density = mass/volume

    1 gram to 10 Decigram

    mass = 145/10

    = 14.5 g

    1 cm³ is equivalent to 1 mL

    thus, 2.3 cm³ is equal to 2.3 mL

    Density = 14.5 g / 2.3 mL

    = 6.304 g/mL
