Why does mercury lack seasons?

    In comparison to the planet Earth, Mercury has 0.01 degree axial tilt. This means this planet receives equal cycle of day and night. The seasons are marked by changes in the intensity of sunlight that reaches the Earth's surface which Mercury receives differently.
