The temperature of an aluminum disk is increased by 250 ∘C∘C. By what percentage does its volume increase?

    rise in temperature, ΔT = 250 °C

    coefficient of cubical expansion of aluminium, γ = 69 x 10^-6 / °C

    So, the percentage increase in volume is

    ΔV / V = γ x ΔT = 69 x 10^-6 x 250

    ΔV / V = 0.01725

    ΔV/V x 100 % = 1.725 %
