A loudspeaker on a tall pole broadcasts sound waves equally in all directions. What is the speaker's power output if the sound intensity level is 113 db at a distance of 16 m?

    The formula for a power output given sound intensity and distance is

    P = 4 π r² I

    where I is the sound intensity

    r is the distance

    Plugging in the value,

    P = 4 π (16) ² (113)

    P = 363519.97 W
