A dragster starts from rest and travels 1/4 mi in 8.40 s with constant acceleration. What is its velocity when it crosses the finish line?

    Equation: D=VT

    D = Distance (1/4mi)

    V = Velocity (this is what we are solving for)

    T = Time (8.40s)

    Plug the numbers into the equation and solve:

    1/4 = 8.4V

    V = 33.6
