It can slow down moving objects and then the object could eventionaly stop moving.

I'm going to ignore the sd as a typo and answer the rest of it.
Friction will slow down an object, and the force will create heat to warm the object up. When there's a lot of friction, sound can be heard as more energy is transferred.
