    The answer to your question is: a = 1.1 m/s²

    Explanation:

    Data

    v1 = 0.85 m/s

    v2 = 5.2 m/s

    displacement = 12.0 m

    a = ?

    Formula

    v2² = v1² + 2ad

    a = (v2² - v1²) / 2d

    Process

    a = (5.2² - 0.85²) / (2) (12)

    a = (27.04 - 0.72) / 24

    a = 26.32 / 24

    a = 1.1 m/s²
