Nuclear power is produced through nuclear reactions like fission. This is when radioactive elements, like Uranium, shed subparticles yielding another element like Polonium. Unlike coal, they do not emit greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming. Some risks are still there such as death from prolonged exposure to radioactive wastes and unprecedented extent of reactions. Supply of radioactive elements are also limited.
