As we move from left to right across the periodic table, what is the general trend?

    A) Atomic radii increase. - false

    B) Electronegavitiy decreases. - also false

Only these two, C and D, are plausible answers:

    C) Nuclear shielding increases. D) Metallic character decreases.

C, however, seems to be a nonsense concept, and thus the best answer seems to be D. Since most elements at the rightmost part of the periodic table are nonmetals.
