Voltage loss is due to use of thin connection wires.

Explanation:

-According to Ohm's Law, voltage is proportional to current.

-The voltage drop in each wire is proportional to the current.

-The more current (or charges per second) you try sending the harder it is.

-Hence, electrostatic energy is lost on the way which results in voltage loss.
