    This is because the ball is moving at a faster rate then the rest therefore it has the most kinetic energy.

    Kinetic energy is the energy of motion when anything is moving it is using kinetic energy. The opposite of this is potential energy. This is the energy that is stored and turned into kinetic energy. Potential energy happens when a thing is not in motion.
