Karen massed an object 3 times using the same equal arm balance and gram massed. Her results were 18.324 g 18.308 g and 18.342 g. How could she best report the mass of the object

    To best report the mass of the object, she could just find the average for the three masses she measured.

    average = total masses / number of readings

    Total masses = 18.324 + 18.308 + 18.342 = 54.974 grams

    number of readings = 3 readings

    Therefore:

    average mass of the object = 54.974 / 3 = 18.32466667 grams
