    It depends on what it's asking. Answer B seems most likely because without friction you are unable to even through the ball, the force on it would throw you backwards and it wouldn't move. However, if you are able to throw the ball it would be answer C because there's nothing acting on the ball to stop the motion. It depends on the context of the problem and which you think applies better
