    We can say that the total energy contained in the universe must be constant. No energy can be added or removed without that change being balanced out by an energy gain/loss elsewhere. This makes choices B and C true.

    To balance out these changes in energy, it must change forms (like a planet orbiting a star exchanges some of its potential energy for kinetic energy and vice versa). This makes choice D true.

    By process of elimination, the answer is choice A.
