A 3-phase motor is connected to a 440V line and draws a current of 5A. If the power factor of the motor is the highest two digits in your KSU in percent (e. g. 000123456 would be a power factor of 56%) calculate the magnitude of the total apparent power S.

    2133.89VA

    Explanation:

    Using KSU id 000123456

    Apparent power = Pa = (3^1/2) * Pf*I*V

    Where Pf = power factor =.56

    V = 440v = voltage magnitude in the line

    I = current = 5amp

    So therefore

    Pa = (3^1/2) *.56 * 5 * 440

    Pa = 2133.89VA
