The higher its density, the slower the rotation of the planet. This is because the higher the density of the planet (which also means it has a higher mass) the more its gravitational influence on other planetary bodies in proximity. This means it pulls on others bodies more than it is pulled upon. It’s rotation, therefore, slows as those of lighter bodies it is pulling, increase.
