James Chadwick is very important when it comes to physics.
In 1932, he was the one who discovered the existence of neutrons - elementary particles devoid of any electrical charge. Thus he paved the way for the fission of uranium 235 and the creation of the atomic bomb. He got a Nobel Prize for Physics in 1935 for this discovery.
