On a small planet, an astronaut uses a vertical force of 175 newton to lift an 87.5 kg boulder at constant velocity to height of 0.350 meter above the planet's surface. What is the magnitude of the gravitation field strenght on the surface of the planet

    Weight = (mass) x (gravity)

    175 N = (87.5 kg) x (gravity)

    Divide each side by 87.5 kg : Gravity = (175 N) / (87.5 kg)

    = 2 m/s²

    We don't care how far he lifted it.
