One of the most events that took place is the Phases of Venus which demonstrated that Venus orbits the Sun. And also another time during that period was when it rejected the Church to believe and questioned church teaching. This also encouraged Galileo Galilei and Johannes Kepler to investigate further about the universe. I think it is option 2 and 5
