    Pennsylvania settlers were mostly Quakers who were not against any religious persecution and were mainly peaceful.

    Rhode Island settlers were outcasts from other colonies such as Plymouth Mass. because they either opposed certain beliefs of the Puritans which was the main religion in that time.
