    It also reminds us that culture is dynamic i. e., susceptible to constant reevaluation and change. Culture is shared, apprehended, dynamic and based on symbols. Culture is a shared and apprehended phenomenon, evidence of this is that we are born into a society that precedes us. When we are born we are, in a way, "installed" into the symbolic order and we apprehend culture not only through exposition (teaching) but also through absorption (immersion). That means that even without noticing, we orient ourselves according to our surroundings however, we are not only products of culture but also producers of it. So concluding, culture as a shared phenomenon has a dynamic quality to it which allows room for negotiation, contestation and ultimately, change.
