Considering the environmental factor of vegetation, why do you think civilization on the african continent began in egypt, rather than farther west, in central north africa?

    Civilization always is located at a big riv er delta. On the African continent it began in Egypt where the Nile formed a big delta. All around it in Africa was the rainless & huge Sahara desert, the most unlikely place for human habitation, let alone a civilization.
