    The Subarctic were highly dominated by boreal forest, which was an ecosystem as well as a vast forest. The subarctic people used diverse traditional technologies in coping with the cold of the winters in the northern region while they were adept in production.

    Their traditional diet was animals such s caribou, bison and moose in the south locales and beaver, fish, wild plant fruits such and roots sub and berries. The food was distributed in small quantities, and they had a problem with starvation.
