    The following regions represent most of the cotton producing areas in Texas. Panhandle; South Plains; Permian Basin; Trans-Pecos; Rolling Plains; Blackland Prairies; Winter Garden; Coastal Bend; Lower Rio Grande Valley; Panhandle. The Texas Panhandle is the 20 northern most counties in Texas, bordered by New Mexico on the west and Oklahoma on the north and east.
