Unequal access to basic services occur globally and nationally, it is not just limited to South Africa. Right here in the U. S it is a well known fact that minorities, poor, uneducated, unemployed have little to no access to basic services in their communities or cities. Therefore crime, disease, and death run more rampant among these communities, with many people developing dangerous mindsets to survive. Kill to live or you will die. Steal, take, and risk it all so you can have the necessities. It is very sad. Crime is never right but the serious issue is that these people have become desensitized because of the conditions they have been born into. The lack of services or awareness of the misfortune of these people needs to be addressed.
