What kind of fossil aging is used when scientists use the law of superposition?

    The answer is sedimentary rock layers. It is used to conclude the relative age of sedimentary rock layers and agreeing to this in horizontal sedimentary rock layers the eldest layer is at the bottom and each higher layer is younger than the layers below it.
