The leaders of the various independence movements in Latin America did the following to gain the support of the generation population:

They aroused the feelings and emotions of people by telling them that anyone who has born in Americas are "Americanos". This feeling of identity and self got the leaders the support of people. The independence movements started in the 19th century and many countries got the independence except some countries like cuba.
