She will look for negative behavior from her supervisors.

Confirmation bias is when a person (unconsciously or consciously) automatically searches for information that supports their previous beliefs or knowledge. In Cathy's case, she has had a history of all of her supervisors being negative people. She will then expect her new supervisors to also be negative, falling into confirmation bias.
