    The answer is Opportunity.

    Ed can see the opportunity to take advantage of his work situation as he has very little supervision. Ethically he sees no problem in doing it because no one seems to check up on him at work anyway so it wouldn't make a difference if he was there or not. He will most likely take the opportunity to go away for a week.
