    Since there are no options, i can only offer some insight:

    By devaluating the bolivar, the president of Venezuela has ...

    1) he has brought the official value of Bolivar closer to the actual value - before this the black market value was a lot lower than the actual value

    2) as a result, he might have actually made the Bolivar more valuable, because before the difference between the official and black market value made people avoid using the Bolivar and exchange the goods using dolars rather than bolivars
