    Option (4)

    Explanation:

The earth's crust is made up of types of plates namely, the continental (crust) and the oceanic plate (crust). These plates migrate over the layer of the asthenosphere due to the generation of convection current in the mantle. This plate motion takes place in three ways-

    1) Convergent plate motion - Here the plates collide with one another.

    2) Divergent plate motion - Here the plates move in the opposite direction.

    3) Transform plate motion - here the two plates slide past each other. Due to this type of motion of plates, shallow-focus earthquakes are usually generated and they are very destructive. Here neither the plates remain conserved.

Some of the geological features that are produced due to this type of plate motion are volcanoes and fault lines.

Thus, the correct answer is option (4).
