Research is not a simple matter to carry out. It requires the use of a lot of skills, and also time, in order for it to be valid and useful. To become a good researcher, a person must have certain capabilities, and also certain strengths, as well as good methods to acquire information through literacy, to be able to carry out such a task.

Indeed, I believe that reading, and especially learning to read adequate materials, to select them, and learn how to use these materials, as sources for research, is vital for any such activity to be successful. It is through exposure to information, most commonly that comes through books and other media, that research blossoms. But it is also important for a researcher to become a strong and avid observer; because research also comes from what happens in every-day life around a person. Many research questions that have arisen in history have come not just from reading, but also from keen observation and from curiosity. As such, feeding all these three: reading skills, curiosity through exposure to new knowledge, and finally, keen observational skills, will make research much more efficient and useful as well.
