    b) Minority

    Explanation:

In sociology, the term Minority refers to people who experience some disadvantage as compared to members of a dominant social group.

Belonging to a minority usually is based on differences in observable characteristics from the members of the group.

Thus, the category of people distinguished by physical or cultural traits and who are socially disadvantaged is b) minority.

    Note:

    a) Out-group refers to the group of people who don't belong to one's own social group, but one's own group is not necessarily socially disadvantaged.

    c) and d) Racial and ethnic categories refer to groups of people that have some observable characteristics in common but not all races or ethnic groups are necessarily socially disadvantaged.

The only term that implies disadvantaged is b) minority.
