    Explanation: when children takes the binets intelligent test, it's main aim is to determine their mental age. Mental age refers to an average score table with average mental age in correlation to estimated IQ values.

    For example if a childs real age is 10years and he/she takes the binets test and his/her mental age is found to be 10 based on the average score table, then the child is said to have average intelligence but if his/her mental age is found to be way above 10, he his said to be a gifted child.
