The full form of DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid. It is present in all living beings and is the main element in the chromosomes of the living organisms. It contains the genetic information of any organisms.

DNAs are double stranded. Researcher or scientist generally probe the DNA library to be single stranded and be labeled so as to isolate a cloned gene from the library of the DNA.
