I am pretty sure that the words of the lines above were spoken by the protagonist’s sister - Ismene. By saying this words she shows that she has no power and no rights and when her sister Antigone shares her plan about burying her brother, Ismene discourages her not to commit such things just because she thinks that for women it’s too hard to handle. She is assured that female can’t be taken seriously and that no one will listen to woman’s opinion at all.
