What is the primary reason that globalization leads to greater global population?

    I believe the answer is: Environmental protection is expensive, and reduces a company's competitiveness in the global market.

    Because of their valuation is mostly came from the amount of profit they could bring in, companies often resorted into cheapest method for their waste management that often resulted in pollution, toxic land, and other forms of environmental damage.
