How did women's roles change across south and Southeast Asia after the war?

    The way their roles changed was In India, it became illegal to discriminate against women in the workplace, child marriage was outlawed. In South East Asia women had full legal and political rights.

    After the war, the people in South and Southeast Asia started to follow western civilizations' footsteps in treating the women. Even though traditionally women still not allowed by their families to assume the responsibility that similar to Men, the government started to acknowledged that all gender held the same right in the eyes of the law.
