    Rids can be described as a sudden checking procedure done in a suspected area when any unlawful act is suspected to be occurring. There are various purposes for a raid to occur. Some of them include freeing of captives, checking people or places for drugs or unlawful acts, to destroy the places where the enemy soldiers might be located etc.
