    Starting from the lowest level

    - Physiological Needs

    - Security and Safety Needs

    - Social Needs

    - Esteem Needs

    - Self - actualization Needs

    - Self - transcendence Needs

    The originally featured hierarchy in a shape of a pyramid does not include "self-transcendence". The first five levels are the only needs featured and shown in most textbooks. However, near the end of Maslow's life, he amended his model and added 'self-transcendence' as the highest level of the hierarchy.
